Isolationism or Globalization?

When the Soviet bloc, the former USSR, disintegrated in 1991, it was a turning point for the world, not only because communism fell, but globalization took a giant leap as Russia, and all the satellite states formerly part of the Soviet bloc, now entered into free trade on the global market.
Then there was China, which during 1990s shifted from strict adherence to Maoist communism and adopted the party-state capitalist platform, essentially combining global market commercialism while maintaining their state-controlled idealism based Mao’s policies. These two nations alone, and the former Soviet bloc nations that broke away, nearly two billion people or a quarter of the world’s population at the time, give or take, opened their borders to a globalist platform.
It was a major leap in the right direction for the world. Greater cooperation, more alliances, open trade, open borders, open everything - and that spelled greater freedom in general.
In recent years, with Vladimir Putin working to restore the ‘great’ Soviet empire to its ‘former’ glory, allied with Iran, China and North Korea all of whom provide troops, supplies and support to continue his invasion of Ukraine and the disruption of world peace, and other dictatorial or quasi-dictatorial regimes campaigning for their own stake, such as Israel and even the United States with Trump at the helm, we’ve entered an era of global isolationism, where leaders are building walls around their nations and defining themselves as separate from others nations, breaking alliances which took decades to build, and, as with Russia, Israel and the U.S. simply invading nations they have no business doing so.”
The goal of Isolationism requires disruption and the negation of alliances, and as seen with Donald Trump, who has repeatedly undermined the European Union, Canada, Mexico and other nations, and of course Putin’s invasion into Ukraine and constant threats to dismantle the EU, it is all designed to empower an isolationistic platform.
The great strides made in the previous years since World War II, to build global alliances, to break down arbitrary and idealistic walls, to increase globalization and cooperation, all of which leads to greater tolerance, respect and even the merits of democracy, are and have been under direct attack by these “leaders” - and that includes the Israeli regime under Netanyahu and their utter disregard for the sanctions and human rights of Palestine and even Lebanon - in the name of their “war”.
We need to decide, isolationism or globalization - one leads to more war at the hands of sociopathic “leaders” - the other toward a better society.
