Democracy is being systematically destroyed by the oligarchy

The following definitions are borrowed from the Merriam-Webster dictionary:
Autocracy: a state or society governed by one person with absolute power:
Oligarchy: a government in which a small group exercises control especially for corrupt and selfish purposes
“a choice between democracy and oligarchy
… the Greeks knew that social inequality was the route through which democracy turns to oligarchy.
… Oligarchy is the rule of the few, and these few have been understood since Aristotle’s time to be men of wealth, property, nobility, what have you.”
When we talk of democracy, most people relate that to freedom - freedom of choice. However, to a small, but powerful group, it is a threat.

The United States for instance has stanchioned its image on a platform of being the “most” democratic nation in the world and the protector of democracy - however, even before the advent of Donald Trump’s presidency, that democracy was being systematically eroded. To better understand this, one must also understand that the the American platform, as set by its Constitution, is not a pure democracy at all - it was decided, by its founding fathers, that its government would best serve the people as a Republic, which by definition is; a form of government in which the power belongs to a body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by the leaders and representatives elected by those citizens to govern according to law.
In other words, the Constitutional power of the American government allows its senior elected officials to exercise free will to enact laws and actions based on the power given to them by the people. That, however, is not pure democracy, because in fact, as we have seen in recent times, Donald Trump is capable of enacting laws and activities without the consent nor approval of the electorate, despite opposition from millions of Americans, in fact, putting himself above the law despite his criminal past.

An oligarchy, as confirmed by recent studies (see details HERE), which the United States is quickly edging toward, gives the power of governance to a small group of people, and as in the case of the U.S. that small group not only includes the Oval Office - but the massive corporate financiers who use their dollars to help steer the economy and the nation in the direction THEY want.
Trump’s administration, based on their 2025 Project plan, their detailed agenda for the Republican party, includes destroying the concept of true democracy, because a true democracy, that is, for the people and by the people, is a threat to their plans for control and profit. This includes denigrating and attacking nations who have a more democratic platform than the U.S. because as with all sociopathic and corrupt leadership, they use denigration and nullification to make others look bad and themselves to appear better.

Donald Trump knows very well that in many European countries for instance, where actual social democracy exists, such as in Scandinavia, Germany etc. where health care and infrastructures exist to serve and support the people, that this represents a threat to his “idealism” - a corporate hegemony which monetizes every aspect of society, forcing the people to slavishly work for the corporate rich and the government - the opposite of “for the people and by the people”.
Democracy is under attack - it is being systematically eroded by those with the power to do so, and it is up to us, the people, to fight back, because as always, the power of the people is greater than those in power, and history is witness to the fact that when the head of the body is sick, it is time for change.

Look up your constitutional rights, in whatever nation you live. Learn about it so you understand how your government is playing the game - are they corrupt or are they being true to YOUR rights.
Use your voice to change it.
These are just men, mostly, and very corrupt men - and in the name of true democracy it is up to us to make sure they do not destroy what our forefathers spent decades building.
